Backyard Ponding – A Work in Progress

I’ve been putzing around with ponds since 2002. It all started with a 20 gallon whiskey barrel pond.

A year later, DH and I added a 120 gallon preform pond next to the patio. I had goldfish, plants and water lilies and loved working around it.

The Pond Today (Video)

Nothing has a more soothing and calming effect on me than my pond. I took this video this morning. Listen to the waterfall, the windchimes, and if you listen really closely, you’ll hear the birds chirping and a bullfrog croaking.

The Pond Today

Took some pictures this morning of the pond. The impatiens in the waterfall are really starting to fill out nicely. The fish are happy and thriving. Next on my agenda is moving some of the water lilies from the front yard lily pond to the backyard pond.
